It’s that time of year again- graduation! From kindergarten, to middle and high school to college, we want to help you celebrate these amazing milestones.
The Celebration!
Create your check list and delegate the fun prep!
Pick a date and time!
Plan your event with other parents, co-hosting is always fun and takes the pressure off of one person.
Take it outside for a fun daytime event or explore your local venues for a more adult evening.
Make it an intimate event with family and close friends.
Send digital invites- perfect for the less formal event.
Have fun with the graduates favourite music!
Celebrating by going on a adventure or road trip is a great way for the whole family to join in the fun. Talk to your graduate about day or weekend trips they would enjoy.
The Decorations!
Start with photos! Take photos and display photos, lots of them. Show off your amazing graduate with a trip down memory lane. Set up a photo booth to keep it fun and spontaneous.
Take it outside and use nature as your décor. Hang lights or lanterns from trees and patios to create a warm ambiance. If you are having an outdoor celebration, consider renting a tent. This will provide shade or cover if the weather doesn’t cooperate.
Balloons and streamers are a fun, colourful and economical decoration. Use your balloons as centerpieces or table and chair markers. Don’t forget to add the graduation year!
A grad quote board is a great way for family and friends to share inspirational quotes to the graduate.
The dessert table can be a fun way to add graduation themed cupcakes, cakes and other desserts. Add your graduates faves!
The Menu!
It’s all about the bar! Special taco/nacho bars, candy bars, donut bars, cookie bars, pizza bars, hot dog bars, the ideas are endless!
Pick your graduates favourite foods. It’s all about them on this day.
Depending on the time of day, an array of platters, veggie and fruit trays and appetizers are a perfect for these events. It keeps the vibe casual and easy. Save-On-Foods has a great selection of made to order party trays!
Make fresh fruit water for everyone. Use large jars and keep them filled with fresh cold water and your favourite chunks of fruit. Watermelon, strawberries and cucumbers are great options.
The Fun!
Have your guests share their favourite memory of the graduate with a memory jar. Have them write them down to keep forever!
Games are a crowd pleaser. Pin the tassel on the graduate! Hang a photo of your graduate on the wall in their cap (minus the tassel of course) and have your guests pin the tassel.
Show your graduates school colours! From the balloons, to the table settings, to the dress code. Have everyone participate.
Finally, enjoy every moment…..
